# Pause Or Archive an Action Page

From the Action Pages Index, you can pause pages to temporarily stop new submissions, schedule pauses in advance, or archive pages you no longer need.

From the **Action Pages Index**, you can pause pages to temporarily stop new submissions, schedule pauses in advance, or archive pages you no longer need. These tools make it easy to manage fundraising availability, ensure compliance, and keep your Action Pages organized, with the option to reactivate pages if needed.

**Warning:** Pausing Action Pages prevents all activity from taking place on that page including new submissions, donations, and ongoing recurring donations from processing.

## Pause And Resume

To **Pause** an individual page, follow the steps below:

1. Access the **Action Pages → Pages** tab from the main menu of your fundraising account.
2. Hover over the **Name** of the page you would like to pause.
3. Open the **⋮** menu on the page row, then select **Pause**.
4. Within the Pause Popup, click **Pause**.

To **Resume** an Action Page, follow the steps below:

1. Access the **Action Pages → Pages** tab from the main menu of your fundraising account.
2. Hover over the **Name** of the page you would like to resume.
3. Open the **⋮** menu on the page row, then select **Resume**.

## Bulk Pausing

To **Pause / resume** multiple pages at once, follow the steps below:

1. Access the **Action Pages → Pages** tab from the main menu of your fundraising account.
2. Click the **Checkbox** to the left of each page(s) you would like to pause or resume.
3. Once you have selected all the pages you would like included, click the **Pause / resume** button that is available in the row above the list of pages.

## Schedule Paused Pages

If you anticipate a period when you will be unable to accept donations, schedule ahead within the **Action Pages → Pages** tab.

To schedule pages to be paused, follow the steps below:

1. Access the **Action Pages → Pages** tab from the main menu of your fundraising account.
2. Click the **Checkbox** to the left of each page(s) you would like to pause.
3. Once you have selected all pages you would like included in the scheduled pause, click the **Schedule on/off** button that is available in the row above the list of pages.
4. Add an **Off** and **On Date** in the Schedule on/off menu. Your pages will then be automatically paused on the Off date and then automatically reactivated on the On date.

If you are unsure when you will begin fundraising again, we recommend pausing the account within [Settings → Other Actions](/settings/other-actions/pausing-your-account.md) / [Pausing Your Account](/settings/other-actions/pausing-your-account.md).

## Archive Action Pages

To **Archive** an Action Page, first, ensure the page has been paused. Once the page has been paused successfully, hover over the **Name** of the Action Page, open the **⋮** menu on the page row, then select **Archive**.

*Archived pages can be reactivated if necessary.*

## Reactivate An Archived Action Page

To Reactivate an Archived Action Page, follow the steps below:

1. Click the **Filter** button in the upper right corner of the Action Page Index.
2. Select **Archived** under Status.
3. Click **Apply Filters**.
4. Next, hover over the **Name** of the Action Page you would like to reactivate.
5. Open the **⋮** menu on the page row, then select **Resume**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.anedot.com/action-pages/action-page-basics/pause-or-archive-an-action-page.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
