# Content and Layout

Add text, images, videos, timers, and sponsors to an Action Page, edit the footer, and choose the page structure and form position in the Page Builder.

The **Content** and **Layout** panels control what appears on your Action Page and how it's arranged. Content holds the blocks in the page body, the sponsors on Event Pages, and the footer. Layout sets the page structure, where the form sits, and the checkout style on Donation Pages. You'll find them in the Page Builder under **Page > Content** and **Page > Layout**. This article covers both panels.

{% hint style="info" %}
Content is available on Donation Pages, Event Pages, and Lead Pages. Layout is available on Donation Pages and Lead Pages only.
{% endhint %}

## Before You Begin

* To save changes, you need **Action Pages: Edit permissions**.

## Open Content

To open Content:

1. Go to **Action Pages > Pages**.
2. Click the name of the page you want to edit.
3. Select **Page > Content**.

## Add Content Blocks

The **Body** section holds the content between your page's header and footer. Click a block type to add it to the page.

| Block | What It Shows | Page Types |
| ----------- | --------------------------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| **Text** | Rich text content | Donation Pages, Lead Pages |
| **Image** | An image with an optional caption | Donation Pages, Lead Pages |
| **Divider** | A horizontal rule                 | Donation Pages, Lead Pages              |
| **Video** | An embedded video from a URL | Donation Pages, Event Pages, Lead Pages |
| **Timer** | A countdown or deadline timer | Donation Pages, Event Pages, Lead Pages |
| **Impact**  | A contribution impact callout     | Donation Pages                          |

To work with a block:

* **Edit:** Expand the block to see its fields.
* **Reorder:** Drag the block to a new position.
* **Duplicate** or **Delete:** Use the options on the block.

A page can have one timer. Event Pages can have one video.

{% hint style="info" %}
Event Pages show the first video block and the countdown timer. Other block types aren't shown on the public Event Page.
{% endhint %}

## Block Settings

* **Text:** Write your message in the rich text editor.
* **Image:** Choose or upload an image, and add an optional **Caption**.
* **Divider:** Set the **Border color**, **Background**, **Border style** (**Solid**, **Dashed**, or **Dotted**), and **Border width (px)**.
* **Video:** Enter the **Video URL**, such as a YouTube or Vimeo link, and add an optional **Caption**. A video block needs a URL before you can save.
* **Timer:** Choose a **Timer type**:

  * **Deadline:** Choose the date and local time when the timer ends.
  * **Countdown:** Enter the number of minutes in **Countdown minutes**. Values over 60 are supported.

  Add an optional **Caption**, then choose where the timer appears. Turn on **Banner** to show the timer above the page content, **Form** to show it with the action form, or both.
* **Impact:** Enter the **Contribution caption**, the **Impact caption**, and the **Multiplier**.

## Sponsors

On Event Pages, the **Sponsors** section displays your event sponsors with logos and links. Sponsors appear between the page body and the footer.

To add a sponsor:

1. Go to **Action Pages > Pages**.
2. Click the name of the Event Page you want to edit.
3. Select **Page > Content**.
4. In **Sponsors**, enter a **Section title**, such as "Our sponsors."
5. Click **Add sponsor**.
6. Add the **Sponsor logo**, **Sponsor name**, and **Link URL**.

## Footer

Expand **Footer** to edit the bottom of your page.

* **Footer disclaimer:** Legal or compliance copy shown above the footer.
* **Show account name in footer:** Shows your account name in the footer.

{% hint style="info" %}
Check with your compliance officer for disclaimer requirements. Anedot doesn't provide compliance advice.
{% endhint %}

When you're done, click **Save**.

Looking for exit intent? It's in **Workflows > Exit intent**. See [Exit Intent](/action-pages/page-builder/exit-intent.md).

## Open Layout

To open Layout:

1. Go to **Action Pages > Pages**.
2. Click the name of the Donation Page or Lead Page you want to edit.
3. Select **Page > Layout**.

## Page Structure

Choose how your page is arranged:

* **Standard:** The standard page layout.
* **Story:** A wider, two-column page.

If your page uses an older layout, the panel names it. Choosing **Standard** or **Story** replaces it.

## Form Position

Choose where the form sits on the page: **Left**, **Center**, or **Right**. Center alignment is only available in the Standard layout. If you switch a centered form to Story, the form moves to the right.

## Checkout

On Donation Pages, choose how checkout works:

* **Checkout style:** Choose **One column** or **Multi-step**.
* **Giving section:** Choose **Before donor fields** or **After donor fields** to set whether donors enter their details before or after choosing an amount. Multi-step checkout always starts with the giving section.

Some older pages also show a **Legacy form style** setting.

When you're done, click **Save**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.anedot.com/action-pages/page-builder/content-and-layout.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
